Suit & Tie

Entonces, alguna vez leí una frase que ha marcado mi vida y mi forma de ser.
"Life is too short to wear boring clothes"

So, for work, I have to wear suit or formal outfits, even when I'm an art teacher. I decided never to wear just black suits and this inspiration took me to all new and extravagant places. I want to share with you some of my favorite outfits. You should try this. It can make your day happier!

For first instance, is good to try some different tie knots, this is the trinity knot, I learned how yo do it on youtube.

In this occasion, I made with the same fabric my tie and my vest, so it could match perfectly!

Sometimes add some details as flowers with an old vintage style can make the difference! 

I just LOVE bow ties in addition of a great style!!!! 

And I also made this bow-tie with some paper flowers, and I have to say it looks AMAZING! I had great reviews! 

Or you should try just to be silly, is a great way to make your day happier!

Introducing my very best friend!

Hi everyone!!!

In this occasion I want you to meet my very best friend! She's the reason why I created this blog. I knew her from work, she is a great teacher who gives me tons of ideas, inspiration and better ways to get to our kid's hearts.

She's teaching me how to cook, how to save money, how to knit, how to be happier and better person and a great teacher!

Her name is Shanti, she used to live in USA but now is here with me in Mexico. She's married with a wonderful person who, I think, is the reason she shines all the time!

This is her!

So, we have this AWESOME thing called "Shanti-Day". ShantiDay is one day of the week when we spend the whole day together, by cooking, knitting, shopping, having fun, talking or hanging around. 

Pasar todo un día con Shanti es como magia! La verdad es que es mi mejor amiga, y sin duda me fascina pasar el tiempo con ella. Le agradezco que me ha hecho más decente, más prudente y más ahorrador! Pero además ha despertado mucho de la creatividad y las ganas de pintar, de producir y de crear arte y decoraciones; que ya había perdido con el trabajo y la maestría. 

Entonces, este Shanti-Day es un día de enseñanza y aprendizaje, en el que me enseña a cocinar, a tejer o a hacer mi blog. Es curioso que pasamos todos los días todas las mañanas juntos en el trabajo, pero verla TODO un día completo, 12 horas seguidas nunca pesa y nunca cansa. Quizá es que somos súper compatibles, o quizá es sólo que los dos somos increíbles!!!!

Decorating my Classroom

So, as you already know, and still if you don't, I'm a professor and I teach arts. My classroom used to be all yellow, it was like being in a huge egg. That's why I decided to create some kind of environment for creativity. It was ok, warm, sunny and full of light; but also boring, normal and just like the rest of the school. And this is not good.

What I want for my students is to travel to some wonderful place full with color and fun and creativity and, of course, art. 

I have some arts&crafts ideas to decorate my classroom and I want to share it with you!

Ok. For first instance, I really need to do something with the celling! It looks like one of those government offices, all white and boring with white lights hidden behind opaque glass. Remember that I told you that the room is yellow, light yellow.

I used to have some tree branches just in case from one big tree that the government took off for some reasons, and I really wanted to use them, so... this is what I did.

And this is how it looks like! I'm pretty happy with this, and my students love it!!!
